Our Response to COVID-19

To our valued customers and fellow admirers of design,

As we approach the one year timeframe of Covid-19 outbreak, BSEID continues to bridge the line of communication between our manufacturers, artisans, vendors; and you - our customers.

With production levels ramping and supply catching up to demand, it’s been critical that BSEID have a strong understanding on where and how our beloved manufacturers continue to feel the impact of the pandemic. Whereas many are operational, stock levels have been generally lower and production times have incurred some obstacles. This is due to warehouses experiencing positive cases, as well as social distancing of artisans, craftsmen and operations staff. Limited staff working on custom/made-to-order American products results in longer shipping times, but one thing is for sure -- the quality remains! Imported furnishings and accessories are also incurring these backorders or fulfillment issues.

Luckily, at BSEID, communication is key! We proudly have strong relationships with our suppliers and do our best to specifically and proactively report any delays on our website or directly to customers upon ordering.

As we work diligently to keep our unique product offerings in stock, we are also working hard to keep our product pages updated with the latest availability statuses. If our website has not properly informed you of a backordered item or temporary delay in shipping, we do apologize and will be updating you via email with the new estimated delivery date. We welcome your grace, feedback and understanding. After all, design is our passion and our sole drive is to provide you the best design options with the best customer service!

Most of all BSEID takes this moment to reflect and send appreciation. We give thanks to our team, who has continued to stay vigilant and extremely supportive. We give thanks to our manufacturers, who have highly valued their relationship with BSEID and collectively meeting our customers’ needs. And certainly we give thanks to you - our customers, who have continued to follow us on social media, peruse our site for design inspiration and trust in us with your home and gift purchase... as always ...Thank YOU!

To our valued customers and fellow admirers of design,

BSEID continues to closely monitor the impact this pandemic has had on our manufacturers, artisans, vendors; and ultimately you - our customers. Below is an update on where we are in the effects of Covid-19 5 months later.

While we are working diligently to keep our unique product offerings in stock, you may notice an increase of backordered items on our site at this time. We are deeply sorry for this inconvenience and are working hard to keep our product pages updated with the latest availability statuses. The backorders are strictly due to the global impact of manufacturing and shipping of our products and not due to the response of BSEID staff members. We continue to work virtually and in-office to offer the best customer service you’ve come to expect from us.

Whereas many US manufacturers are back producing the unique products we love to sell, production times have incurred some delays. This is due to vendors practicing social distancing of their artisans, craftsmen and operations staff. Limited staff means a slower rate of custom/made-to-order American product, but certainly the quality remains, and always will be, intact. Imported furnishings and accessories are also incurring longer ship times to the US and we are experiencing a delay at our ports, and ultimately to your residences and business.

We are happy to report US shipping networks are open and operational. Our carriers are maintaining normal delivery operations. Therefore, once your item(s) is on its way we are expecting it in the typical ship time of that piece(s).

If our website has not properly informed you of a backordered item or temporary delay in shipping, we do apologize and will be updating you via email with the new estimated delivery date. We welcome your grace, feedback and understanding.

As the spread of Covid-19 accelerates, BSEID’s number one priority is to keep our customers and staff healthy all the while we continue to give you the highest level of service and design advice. In this time, we will continue to follow the recommendations and guidelines from the CDC and the WHO for all our safety.
As a company, BSEID has the great fortune to run our business virtually and we have made the necessary adjustments so every employee is working remotely. We continue to closely monitor all vulnerabilities with your order and delivery.

As the circumstances evolve, our vendors, manufacturers and artisans are also making necessary adjustments. Some delays are to be expected and white-glove delivery options may not be available to your area but we are working hard to make sure that the pieces you want are available and delivered in the safest way possible. We will continue to comply with the regulations laid out by our federal and local government to make sure your order arrives safely and in perfect condition. It is critical that we all do our part to help reduce COVID-19 transmission.

So BSEID is here for you. We will continue to serve our clients as we always have and on the other side, BSEID will be stronger than ever. As always, you can call or email us if you have a question on your order or delivery and we will address your messages and concerns in a timely manner.
