The natural Kubu weaving material is a soft gray color, which is achieved naturally by soaking the rattan in local clay and sun-drying it before weaving. The top is solid hardwood, finished in a deep brown. A clear topcoat preserves the color and protects the top from spills.

Due to the characteristics of natural rattan, each piece will have unique coloration which is considered a unique attribute of the material and not a defect.
